There’s no other footwear that is more essential in wintertime than a pair of boots (it is a must to wear it in the first place, unless you don’t mind being frostbitten).  And there are boots that are made just for the season; the mere thought of them already makes you feel warm.  No other kind of boots can summon up an image of sitting in front of a roaring fireplace bundled up with furry blanket.   And that’s exactly what you need when you brave the biting cold outside:  a pair of comfy, fluffy, fuzzy boots. So what to choose?
The boots, being the foundation of your winter get-up, have to be comfortable, as all shoes should be.  You can’t strut your winter collection if you are gr ounded by an ill-fitting pair.

So, you may want to consider boot length.  Is it high enough to keep your legs warm, but also stylish enough to go with most of your hemline? You may also want to choose between a high-heeled pair or a flat one.  Slippery tiles are a bane to high heels, yet flat pairs don’t seem to have the dominatrix boost that you could only get from a few inches off the ground.  So consider well where you will be most using your fuzzy pair.Next is the material.  Is that sheepskin waterproof?  Will it smudge easily?  Will you have to change to a new pair if you spilled coffee on your suede?  Will it last at least until the next winter?

For the fashion-conscious, will it mix and match with what you have in your winter closet?  That pair bought (but eventually auctioned) by Rebecca Bloomwood was a killer.  But can you really wear it with at least a couple of your winter coats but probably not your favorite bathing suit?

A few more weeks and it will be end-of-the-season sale.  You may want to keep all of these in mind when you pick your fuzzy boots.  They will only be used a few months out of a year, but choosing the right one will make your winter less dreary.
